The Great Warning and its Hilarious Imitation by MDM

Between 1961 and 1965, the Virgin Mary appeared
to four simple rural girls in the town of San Sebastian
de Garabandal of the Diocese of Santander in Portugal.
Aged between 11 and 12, they were Conchita Gonzalez,
Mari Loli Mazon, Jacinta Gonzalez and Mari Cruz Gonzalez.
While three of them shared the same surnames,
they were not blood-related.
People have known about the prophecy on the Great Warning for decades now.   It all started with the messages given by the Virgin Mary who appeared to four school children in the rural town of Sebastian de Garabandal, Spain between 1961 and 1965.

The Nature of the Great Warning

One of the four visionaries, Conchita wrote:
"The warning comes directly from God and will be visible to the whole world and from any place where anyone many happen to be. It will be like the revelation of our sins and it will be seen and felt by everyone, believer and unbeliever alike irrespective of whatever religion he may belong to. It will be seen and felt in all parts of the world and by every person."
The date was never revealed to the visionaries, though one of them, Mari-Loli  was told the year; and she said that the Miracle will happen within one year after The Warning.  In addition, Jacinta was told by Our Blessed Mother "that the warning would come when conditions were at their worst."

Is the Great Warning approved by the Church?

Garabandal remains controversial, and while it is not our aim to discuss its claim to authenticity, suffice it say that the Holy See has not made any official pronouncement to approve or condemn Garabandal, preferring instead to defer either action to the local Bishop of Santander.  Between 1961 and 1970, all the statements from the bishops of the diocese of Santander were one in saying that the apparitions were "non-constaba" meaning, cannot be confirmed.

Garabandal's great warning - a favorite among false seers

The Great Warning messages are quite sensational.  False seers around the world have been quick to pick them up to spice up some of their distant future predictions, cite Garabandal with claims confirming it, excite their readers, or simply make money of it.  That's just fine, except that many have piggybacked on this message to spread heresy and schism that plunge unwary non-discerning Catholics to sin gravely.

One such false seer who hides under a pseudonym that mocks the Divine Mercy devotion of St. Faustina is Maria Divine Mercy. But we have to admit, her prophecies can be Comedy Central material.  Read MDM's forced and hilariously strained predictions about the Great Warning when taken in their entirety below.

The Great Warning of MDM

Throughout most of 2011 and into 2012, MDM released near-daily messages on her Warning Second Coming website and contained in her Book of Truth where an entity claiming to be Jesus Christ predicted that the Great Warning was about to take place.  It was supposed to occur in 2011 which he claimed to be the "Year of Purification."  The entity sounded quite desperate that it should occur on that year. Take note of the dates below.

03 March 2011:  “THE HOURS ARE TICKING NOW.”  [for the ‘Warning’].
Start the timer

16 April 2011: "My beloved daughter the time for The Warning is now close and it will happen quickly in the blink of an eye."
Reset timer.   Ok, I have now blinked an eye.  One, two, three....

24 April 2011: "This year is important because it marks the beginning of the new Era of Enlightenment due to commence in the world shortly."
Reset timer.  Yes, we can’t wait to be enlightened.

31 May 2011: "The prophecies given at Garabandal will now become a reality. Prepare now for this event [the Warning] for you have only A FEW MONTHS LEFT to prepare your souls."
Threw away the timer.   So it’s a not a blink of an eye, or shortly, but a few more months.

01 July 2011: "If I say months [for the Warning] that could be anytime within a year." (See message 31st May above.)
Ok, a few months could stretch to within a year. Marked the calendar.

20 July 2011: "Time is short now. Everything is going to happen quickly. The Warning is close now so there is not much time left to pray for those poor lost souls who will be lost."
Marked the calendar

28 Aug 2011: "Time is short now. The Warning is almost upon us."
Marked the calendar.  Now, why do I get the feeling, I am listening to a broken record?

09 Sept 2011: "This, My daughter, has been foretold as just one of the signs that mankind will experience during 2011 THE YEAR OF THE PURIFICATION."
Marked the calendar.   Year of Purification, Era of Enlightenment (24 April 2011)  Pls make up your mind.

03 Oct 2011: "This [Warning] IS THE PURIFICATION I have spoken about."
Marked the calendar.  Yes, you already said that last month

26 Oct 2011: "As the Warning is almost upon the world the truth will finally at last be made known to all my followers."
Marked the calendar.  Did I read that right?  “finally at last?”

16 Nov 2011: "Preparations are now complete."
Marked the calendar.  Hmmm…sounds like you’re embarking on a safari.

24 Nov 2011: "The truth [the Warning] will NOW be revealed...Rise all of you and await with joy My arrival."
Kids, get to your room and pray, it will happen NOW!!!

27 Nov 2011: "The time for the Warning is almost here and you must be patient."
Marked the calendar.  Almost???   Again?  It was supposed to be here three days ago.

04 Jan 2012: "The preparations are complete but I need more prayer for those who will die a wretched death in a state of mortal sin during the Warning."
Threw away the calendar.  Belated Happy New Year!!

Hmm...that's kinda suspicious...waiting for "more prayers" for those dying in a state of mortal sin?  Are you contradicting the doctrines of your own Church now? Souls who die in the state of mortal sin go straight to hell. No amount of prayers can save them.

09 Jan 2012: "Mankind must accept that the time for this great event [the Warning] is almost upon them."
I already accepted it back in March 2011.

23 Jan 2012: "For My time is almost here now...go and do everything I have asked of you for there is little time left."
Little time left?, you started warning us about it in March 2011, remember?

04 Feb 2012: "The final stages of purification [the Warning] will now commence."
Did I miss the first and second stages?

16 Feb 2012: "My time to come is close. So there will not be time enough to save all souls."
Wake me up when it’s here.  z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-snore-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-snore-z-z-z-z-z-z-z

31 March 2012: “The other miracles include the great gift of My Mercy I bring into the world shortly when The Warning takes place.”
z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-snore-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-snore-z-z-z-z-z-z-z

03 April 2012: “My dearly beloved daughter there is a period between now and The Warning which I want My followers to understand.
Did I miss it?  Is there a new and greater Great Warning?

It is now June 2013

Take note:  The mark of a false prophet is that his or her predictions do not occur.  It only takes one, a major one, such as what would comprise the core of his prophecy in the Second Coming, to fail, and you know you're reading garbage.

This is the problem when false seers like this MDM try to ape the same prophetic content from the authentic Garabandal prophecy.  But in the effort to update and make it more urgent, the better to dupe gullible readers, MDM puts in what the original prophecy did not - time signals (in a few months, shortly, close at hand, now upon us, etc).  She even talks about the Great Warning as being in some final stage of preparation as if God requires any kind of preparation that humans need when embarking on a journey or project.

After almost nine months, the messages now asked for patience, even contradicting Church doctrine when the delay was due to Christ seeking "more prayers for those who will die in the state of mortal sin during the Warning."  Any devout Catholic and even kids know that anyone who dies in a state of mortal sin goes straight to hell and no amount of prayers here or in the afterlife can save them.  The messages, recognizing the delay, introduced a new concept: "last stage of purification", as if there were several stages in the Great Warning.

Harbingers of failed prophecies are always quick to rationalize their failures by saying: "Thanks be to God for hearing our prayers."  Nice try.  In law, it is called as "escape clause."  Nobody can ever check if they really prayed.  It's like predicting there will be an earthquake tomorrow.  And when it doesn't happen, you can hear the doomsayer say: "I prayed to the Lord not to let it happen."  How convenient.

In the case of MDM, it took her more than a year to realize her prophecy was taking so long when it was supposed to happen in just "a few months"  in 2011.   Up to this day, they are still predicting it with tenacity. But the best punchline to the messages above was made about a year later, here:

01 April 2013: I, your beloved Father, have set the day for The Warning at last. Only I know of this date.
Now that's God the Father speaking (a fake obviously), no longer Christ.  Read carefully, as he declared only he knows the date of the Great Warning that he has set (at last, again).  What does that mean? It means that his son had been dishing out BS between March 2011 and April 2012 in predicting about the Great Warning whose timing only his father knows.  MDM, in her effort to escape her failed Great Warning prophecy, made her christ look like a spoiled usurper presuming to know what only his father knows.

The end result: Throughout 2011, the only thing MDM achieved was to make a hilarious mockery of the original Great Warning prophecy of Garabandal, whose visionaries, by the way, never hid from anonymity, and whose obedience to Church authority exemplified what it means to be a true seer.  The mere fact that MDM released her messages without clearance or approval from her local Bishop, already points to its wretched origins.

  1. Regarding MDM... I find it difficult to understand why anyone can say bad things about Pope Francis. His daily homilies are wonderful. He is a true gift to the Church.

Pope Francis...."..the Lord asks us to remain sheep, because if one decides to quit the fold, then he does not have, “a shepherd to defend him and he falls into the clutches of these wolves.”

  3. I believe MDM will be exposed as a fraud this spring when the predicted appearances of the Blessed Mother in Lourdes, Fatima, LaSallatte, Guadalupe & Garabandal, do not happen. ( Mother of Salvation: These apparitions will begin this Spring, as my Son has instructed Friday, January 24th, 2014 @ 20:05)

Why she would make such an outrageous statement, that if it does not happen leaves her no "wiggle room " to explain to her followers her failure. This combined with her recent exposure a "manufacturing medals" could finally be her downfall. Check

    1. She has left some wiggle room apparently, our Blessed Mother will appear only to 'chosen souls' - we might not be chosen souls ;)
However, I do hope she will be exposed soon, and that the Bishops will come out against her.
Good to see you comment here :)

  4. May God have mercy on us all. No one has the authoriity to pass judgement on others. We should pray, forgive, and love. "Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto Me."

    1. If MDM followers will be judged according to how they judged the Pope I hope they repent and SOON before it is too late.

  5. Jesus is the only one with the authority to pass judgement. Love your enemies. Pray for those who persecute you. Those of you who have not sinned, cast the first stone.

    1. Jesus gave the authority to the Church and warned against false prophets - he never said 'Don't cast stones at false prophets' right? .

If you like to quote the Bible do not forget these verses:

If anyone comes to you bringing a different doctrine, you must not receive him into your house or even give him a greeting. Whoever greets him has a share in his wicked activities. 2 John 1:1o

I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.
      2 John 1: 7

And in fact there are many people who are insubordinate, who talk nonsense and try to make others believe it, particularly among those of the circumcision. They must be silenced: people of this kind upset whole families, by teaching things that they ought not to, and doing it for the sake of sordid gain. Titus 1: 10-11

The Spirit has explicitly said that during the last times some will desert the faith and pay attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines that come from devils, seduced by the hypocrisy of liars whose consciences are branded as though with a red-hot iron: 1 Timothy 4: 1-2

But even if we ourselves or an angel from heaven preaches to you a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let God's curse be on him. Galatians 1: 8

But I am afraid that, just as the snake with his cunning seduced Eve, your minds may be led astray from single-minded devotion to Christ. Because any chance comer has only to preach a Jesus other than the one we preached, or you have only to receive a spirit different from the one you received, or a gospel different from the one you accepted -- and you put up with that only too willingly.
      1 Corinthians 11: 3-4

I urge you, brothers, be on your guard against the people who are out to stir up disagreements and bring up difficulties against the teaching which you learnt. Avoid them. People of that sort are servants not of our Lord Christ, but of their own greed; and with talk that sounds smooth and reasonable they deceive the minds of the unwary.
      Romans 16: 17-18

The final goal at which this instruction aims is love, issuing from a pure heart, a clear conscience and a sincere faith. Some people have missed the way to these things and turned to empty speculation, trying to be teachers of the Law; but they understand neither the words they use nor the matters about which they make such strong assertions.
      1 Tim 1: 5-7

Do not be cheated of your prize by anyone who chooses to grovel to angels and worship them, pinning every hope on visions received, vainly puffed up by a human way of thinking
      Colossians 2: 18
